I would like to volunteer in my child’s classroom. What do I need to do?
Parents and community volunteers who want to volunteer or be a chaperone must complete the Chaperone/Volunteer form, complete a TB Risk Assessment (available with our school nurse), and be approved by the building principal.A background check is only required if you are going to have direct contact with students in the classroom. If you are coming to volunteer on a routine basis and, for example, pulling students to review multiplication facts, a background check would be needed. If you are volunteering to run copies or laminate, then a background check is not required. -
It is my child’s birthday, and I wanted to know if I could bring something special in for him/her?
Sending flowers, balloons, and/or gifts to your child during the school day interrupts the educational process and is not permitted. Please speak to your child’s teacher in advance if you wish to bring in a treat. If there is peanut/nut allergy, please make sure a peanut/nut free sticker is visible. -

What should I do if my child arrives to school late?
No cars are allowed in the bus lane between 8:15-9:00. There is a parking lot that you can "turn right" into that is located right before the bus lane. The students’ instructional day begins at 8:45 a.m. Beginning the day on time with the rest of the class ensures a good start to the academic day.A student arriving after 8:45 a.m. needs a written excuse to explain the reason for being tardy. Parents need to report to the office to sign the child in, allowing the student to receive a late pass and be removed from the absentee roll. The tardiness will be excused for a doctor’s appointment, illness, or legal business only.
