District schools participate in the statewide School Choice Program based on available seating capacity. State law and district guidelines govern the enrollment criteria and application period. The application deadline for Choice is January 9, 2013 no later than 4pm. An enrollment form and additional documents (guidelines and affadavit) are included to the left for families who wish to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: All of our elementary schools are closed to choice with the exception of North Smyrna Elementary School.

Note: While every attempt is made to satisfy the Intra-District Choice requests of families who reside within our district's boundaries, Smyrna School District's rapidly growing enrollments limits our ability to approve all requests.

Inter-district Choice is closed due to the district growth and student enrollment. The exceptions where inter-district choice may be approved are as follows:
1. Previously approved choice students that wish to continue in the district

2. Siblings of previously approved choice students.

3. Students that are children of district employees

4. Students who families are moving into the district and have a valid purchase contract to buy or build
